For this Winter/Spring 2025 menu, TMC's Esaiah and Lisa travelled to Antwerp, toolbox and typewriter packed. They got to spend two days immersed in the PrivéPrivée atmosphere - from the very intimate preparatory moments, to the full service kick-offs when guests started arriving. They wrote, painted and drew in the heart of the restaurant - the kitchen. Sitting centimeters away from the chefs as they delivered the highest culinary performances infused the works with passion.
The Magazine Club duo created in heat of the moment during amongst guests getting served, as well as having the privilege of glimpsing the intimate behind the scenes energy, which resulted in an extremely personalised magazine that the restaurant uses for its menu.
This is in the moment creating is TMC trademark. Living the client's story is what allows for creating the truest and most profound works.
For this menu, Sergio briefed the duo about his desire to spark lightness in his guests. As this menu will be used predominantly in the cold winter months, he wanted us to highlight the whisper of spring around the corner.
The two did so with some sweet and beautiful poetry, but took a more daring stance - infusing this menu with a lot of humour and silliness. They thought, "of course, we can speak on lightness and the beauty of spring, and we will, but.... if we can make people laugh, we can make them FEEL the lightness, besides speaking of it."

Sergio Herman winter/spring 2025
Sergio Herman, who was the youngest Dutch chef to receive three michelin stars, is The Magazine Club's permanent client. This is the third menu that was made for him.
