Artist's Books
Founded in Florence, Italy
Born in the Renaissance city of Florence, Italy, The Magazine Club began as a gathering every Monday. All participants joined at the same table, and used all sorts of tools - as long as they were real (non digital). Watercolours, typewriters, calligraphy pens and polaroid cameras were all used to download the spirit of that moment into a visual medium.
The result is an artist book made all in one day - no old works brought in nor edits made the next day.
The limited 100 copies printed are sealed with a hand-stamped date and episode number - a time capsule if you will. Each copy is printed by artisans in Florence, Italy.
This method of hitting the note of the moment and expressing it through (often traditionally) trained hands is what trademarks The Magazine Club, and is a service also offered for hire.
