For this menu, paints were exclusively developed. Lisa from The Magazine Club went to the Michelin kitchen in Antwerp, and went through the upcoming menu with Sergio. Together they chose ingredients they thought could provide a base of pigment for paint, and then Lisa went and extracted the colour from them in the kitchen.

The main colours that paint this menu are black sepia squid ink, a joyful pink from hibiscus, and the neutral tone of soy sauce.

"My connection to The Magazine Club started in the most unexpected way, during a visit to a friend in Amsterdam. His daughter, an artist living in Florence, shared some thing that stopped me in my tracks. She told me about this incredible collective of artists she's a part of - The Magazine Club - a group that doesn't just create art, but makes their own paint from organic products. In our conversation, she suggested something that blew my mind: they could create drawings and stories for my menus in PrivéPrivée using paint made from the very seasonal ingredients and products I work with in that same menu. A kind of you eat what you read!

The idea of taking the products I work with and transforming them into art in this organic process felt deeply personal. I knew instantly that they were the perfect fit for PrivéPrivée. I like supporting emerging talents in the trajectory to the bigger stages, that is what I do for my entire life. It's this kind of connection - where creativity, food and art come together so intimately - that makes everything feel like it's happening for a reason. Ladies and gentlemen, I am very proud to introduce you to The Magazine Club!"
